2000-2006 Lincoln LS irs swap

I've seen several sites and even kits for swapping a Lincoln Mark VIII irs into a car or truck.
1) Has anyone swapped a Lincoln LS irs into a street rod.
2) Pictures and wheel track look very similar between the Mark VIII & LS IRS. Does anyone know if the LS rear can be easily swapped?
3) If so, are the mount points the same?
Thanks

I've read that the LS rear end (and new T-birds) is a Jaguar item.

Thanks for the response. I received similar info as well. Looking at the specs, the engine size is also offered on the Jag S-type of the same years.
I believe the entire drive train and suspension are all Jag. This is dissapointing because I wanted to use a Crown Vic suspension in front and would prefer Ford rear as well. Reliability looks good, but I'll have to check more into the difficulty of installation on the LS rear suspension.
Thanks
