2000 chev S-10 truck auto trans shifting problems

Good day.
I have a 2000 chev S-10 4.3 truck. I just bought it. I drove it home and changed the lifters, then wound up taking it apart again and re-replacing the intake and plenum gaskets because the engine revved up high when I started it. All the gaskets were fine. The engine still revs fast. Since that time The transmission does not shift unless I wind out first gear and let off the gas, Then it will shift into second gear.

The truck shifted fine when I drove it home from Middle-burg, when I bought it, about 30 miles. It shifted like a new one. Can you tell me what I did to to make this truck dislike me?

One other thing, after I replaced the intake, the transmission lines were not seated correctly . When I started it, I lost about 2-3 quarts of transmission fluid. I replaced the fluid with the recommended brand Dextron.

You probably re-installed the TV cable wrong or it needs to be adjusted. If it's not adjusted properly you stand a good chance of burning up the trans. If there's a trans shop close by drive it slowly and have them set it up correctly.....or tow it, trailer it to the nearest one.

93up would be the 4L60E Trans, no TV Cable, all Electronic control.

Sounds like you may have Trans wiring/harness problems, loose Grounds etc..
