2000 k1500 5.3L solid axle swap

i just bought a 2000 chevy half ton with a solid axle swap. i was told the axles are from a 1979 one ton ford and that they were dana 60 rear and 44 up front. i was wondering if there was anyway to tell exactly what axles they are and what year they came from. idk if it helps at all but it is disk breaks front and rear.

thanks ahead of time

Dana Ford axles from a '78-'79 are the desirable swap, disc brake kits are common for the rears and would have come stock on the front. you can cross the cover patterns to make sure it is what you thought you bought.

The front should be a Dana 60 just like the rear, but a '77.5-'79 F250 and 350 will have a Dana 60 high pinion, or reverse spiral cut. it's stronger than others.
