2000 ranger abs issues
Ive been trying to figure out what is causing the abs to kick in briefly at 10 mph
or below. It has a b9399 code showing for brake pressure switch malfunction but that come on right after i installed new rotors and pads. i cleared the code and it hasnt come back. it does still have the intermittent abs coming on at low speed under light braking. Any ideas? |

I dont recall if the sensors and tone rings are captive(enclosed) on that model, if they are, a wheel bearing could be the issue, also an intermittent break in the lead from the sensor is also a possibility.
If the tone rings are exposed, where you can at least see them , clean them of any metal that may be clinging to them and likwise the sensor also. If you can replicate the issue a few times maybe you can get it to trip another code so as to give you a little more to go on. |
