2000 Winstar transmission issue - Again

Hey all,

I'm in need of some help yet again. My wife's 2000 Windstar lost the transmission a while back, and now that I have the cash in hand for a rebuild, I have been chipping away as time permits to remove the transmission. I am essentially ready to drop the transmission, yet I am having a difficult time finding a way to brace the engine. I am using an engine hoist with a leveler with some chains. I was thinking of using the exhaust manifolds to wrap the chains around, but I am doubtful that they can hold the weight. I am also noticing that wrapping the chains around the exhaust closes to the firewall will be a major project in it's self. Is there anything I should be seeing that I am not when it comes to bracing the engine? Or do I not have to remove the subframe at all, and only minimal effort is needed to brace the engine?

All I know is I am too far into the project to back out. And if I ever have to do this again with a FWD Ford, I will send it to the crusher.
