2001 4.8L(LR4)/4L60E Swap donor

I just picked up a donor (accident) pickup for my swap. Fully loaded and with the 4.8/4L60E. Missing are the keys and FOB, everything else is there. I plan to transplant the drive-train into my street rod which currently house a carbed SBC. I would like to use as much of the truck as possible, like the PCM(power train control module), BCM(body control module), harness and whatever I need to avoid re-flashing. I like to add my experiences were with OBD1 transplants so far, but now is my chance to get in OBD2 technology. I need help from any one that done such a swap, I understand 5.3 and 6.0 are similar. Or anyone that has reasonable input.
So, before I scrap the carcass, what do I need to keep to accomplish this swap. Here's a list I started with and updated as suggestion come in for future swappers:
Engine
Trans
PCM
BCM
engine harness
body harhess
Oxygen sensors (4)
No keys for transponder available

Questions:
Do the gauges feed the PCM or BCM?
Can I get new keys cut using the Vin# that will work or do they have to be matched to the PCM?
Do I need the CAT?
What is needed to make today's street rod gauges to work?
Lastly, am I asking for the impossible?

This project will not be done immediately since I'm still gathering info and the necessary parts. I have just about all the tools necessary (except programmer), I can fabricate what ever is needed and have access to a machine shop. Thank you in advance.
