2001 S-10 2.2l loses power sometimes need help

I know it's not my hotrod, but I need help figuring this issue out. I have a 2001 S-10 with a 2.2l with a automatic transmission. Truck has 70000 miles on it, and has been babied it's whole life.

Truck was running fine down the interstate at 70mph, but it seemed like it was losing power. At WOT the speed would stay steady. It normally has more power for passing. I exit the interstate and come to a stop. When I tried to take off it would go about 3mph at WOT. The car had low idle but never died. No check engine lights came on either. I drove it like that for about 2 miles then it drove fine.

I replaced the fuel pump, and filter then after 30 miles of driving it is doing the exact same thing.

Any suggestions? Chevrolet has the truck, but they replaced the fuel pump with the impression that was the issue.

I personally would check the fuel filter again especially if you have nothing but ethanol in your area. That ethanol just might make a lot of shops out there busy again..

Did you find the cause ? I have a '98 2.2L w/ 99k and I am having the same problem, so far I have changed the fuel filter, coils, plugs, wires, and cleaned the throttle body. The strange thing in my case, turning off the ignition and restarting the truck seems to clear up the problem for a while. I am at a loss on what to do next.
