have you tried flushing the radiator buildup can cause an engine to run hot are you loosing any water or is it always full something people always over look is the radiator cap the springs can become weak they will open way to soon you will loose water causing it to run hot.... also id recommend replacing the temperature sensor n body chevy Malibu were pron to having faulty temp sensors causing false readings.. i know its not a malibu but a lot of sensors interchange

i did check the cap it looked good to me. i was also thinking maybe it was just the temp sensor as well but i popped the hood and it was hooootttt. so i figured that it was correct. i did however decide to take your advice on the radiator. It wasnt leaking all the fluid was clean. i had already flushed the system when i put the waterpump on. As it turns out the radiator was apparently bad because i decided just to put a new one in it and its doing good now thanks for the help. i didnt know radiators could go bad unless they busted. i thot they just get dirty. idk im fairly inexpirienced. but thanks and have a blessed day.

Most of the time, it is better to replace the aluminium/plastic rads, as the "crimp fingers" that hold the tanks on tend to break or lose clapming ability if you try to reuse them.
