are they different. is the bracket on a 350/7004r q jet bracket the same as a 350/2004r q jet bracket..
planing on adding a 2004r to my truck and the 350 will have either the g.m. factory alum intake or a edle performer(non airgap)
then down the line a vortec intake..(different engine) can the factory bracket even be used on the edel. intake?

Each trans uses the same geometry, for 700r4 - 200-4r TV cable.

Or are you talking the TV cable mounting bracket?

It is unlikely that you can bolt on a factory OEM cable bracket to an after market intake and call it a day. Maybe someone else knows of such a bracket to look for make/model/year?

The stock gm TV cable brackets for either tranny come in many different different forms to suit different engines. I believe though that the square cut out opening that the stock cable fits through near the intake is the same for either trans. as the cable end 700R4/200R4 has the same type of adjustable plug that slips through/into the bracket.

What is critical is not the type of bracket but rather how this bracket is used to orientate the TV cable.

I used a bracket from a wrecker then ended up modifying it substantially to make it work. I do know that the eddy performer EPS vortec manifold has two threaded 3/8 holes on the left side of the intake that allowed me to bolt down my custom bracket exactly where it needed to be. It is not so much what type of bracket but rather if it is holding the TV cable in the right spot, better get that right or its a short lived cruise night Also dont forget the geometry correction plate for the carb/efi throttle plate.

There are also many after market brackets designed to hold the cable.
