2004R tranny

Hello all,
About two years ago I installed a 350 Vortec engine and a 2004R tranny into my 65 Chevy PU. The motor was smoking so I rebuilt it but left it pretty much stock and carbuerated. The tranny was used and both ran pretty damn good until a couple of weeks ago. The pickup is used primarily for curising but I do pull a light trailer every once in a while. I was thinking of getting the tranny rebuilt. I don't know much about them. A tranny shop that the company I work for use quoated me a price of 1200.00 to rebuild the tranny. I have purchased a plate and cable for my motor from Bowtie Overdrives and it worked out well. I am seriously thinking of purchasing a tranny from them. What my question is, has anyone had any bad dealings with this company? Has anyone had any good dealings with them? If you have purchased a tranny from them would the Level 1 or 2 be more applicable for my pickup? Like I mentioned she is used primarily for cruising but I tow a trailer with a motorcycle on it every once is a while.
Also if anyone had purchased from another vendor with good results I would appreciate any recommendations.

thanks up front for any input.
