2005 Ford Ranger manual tranny fitment questions

does any body know if my stock 05 4.0 ranger manual tranny will bolt up to a 5.0or4.6 engine and if not what tranny will work.

No and it will take some work to put the Mod motor in a Ranger. has been done tho... as far as manual transmissions. a T-56 from a Mustang will work, but you will have to cut the floor unless you can find a way to make it mid-shift

Ranger never had a 5.0 engine, but the Explorer did. However, the 5.0 liter engine in the Explorer was not offered with a manual transmission. I recall hearing that the reason was that the manual drive-train was not strong enough for the torque of the 5 liter engine.
