Does anyone know if i would be able to put a 2006 silverado interior in a 90s truck? Will it go in to place easily or will it need a lot of modifications?

seats will fit with a little work, dash can fit also but that brings about a lot of wiring.. nothing is bolt in

Ahh, i didn't think about the gauges. Would the 06 gauges work or would i have to use the old gauges in the new dash?

Aren't the gauges dependent on the computer system? If so, would there be a compatibility issue?

It should be a simple bolt in.

seats don't just bolt in. they fit, but bracketry needs to be modified. floors are a bit diffrerent

gauges will probably work, but you will want electrical manuals for both trucks, and you may have to re- pin connectors.. I'm not really sure on all of what's involved, but if you search OBS to NBS interior swap on google, there are some write ups

There is a Alot of ECM control for the 2006 Gauges. Are you doing a engine swap from that truck? If so you can use the stock 06' gauges with the ecm, just have it reflashed to remove Anti-theft, and stand alone engine control.

Don't quote me, but I think there is a way to retune your 96' ecm to control the gauges. I'm not sure of in 96' they had electronic gauges that operate like the 2006 truck do. Check out pcmforless.com. They do some really cool stuff over there. They tuned my 5.3 vortec for ls6 intake, cam and headers. They do very top notch work.

I wasn't going to do an engine swap. I was just thinking that since i can't afford an 06 truck but i like the interiors better, then i would just buy a 90s truck and put an 06 interior in it if it wasn't too much work but now it sounds like it's not worth the effort.
