2006 Silverado Tail-lights

Ok, so I noticed that the 07-08 trucks have two red tail-lights, separated by the rev. light. These red lights both activate with parking, turn, brake. Now, my truck also has two red lights,(on each side of course) both dual-filament,but one is only turn signal . I'm so sure this is problem involving a little tapping or jumping, and I have "expanded-basic" experience with this, (I install LED's on all my vehicles, plus cb-radios,etc.) Basically, I want both lights on both sides to use all three functions. Thanks, Vic

The side that you have turn only is a problem with the newer Chevy trucks. They have a circuit board built into the light that goes bad. The turn and brake light use the same filament in the bulb, and the other filament is the running light. The dealers have them in stock.

I'm not sure we're on the same wave-length here. Not to offend but I was looking for a way to rewire my '06 Silverado tail-lites to blink etc. just like the '07-'08 lights do,both together(on each side.)Help? Vicman

You go to wall mart and buy a trailer wiring converter. Its shuts off the brake light when the turn signal is on. I also do led retrofits and have used this product many times. Like 13 bucks. If you have a circuit board mounted to the taillights you may have to get creative and add a jumper or two.

Thanks guys, I may just "dink" around with them(after I get some fuses and bulbs---for the inevitable blow out or two) and if successful, I'll post it for all to see.. Thanks again
