2008 suzuki reno start up issue

my girlfriend has a ^^^ and it has the tendency to start up like normal, then after the idle goes down under 1000 rpm ( after the quick fast idle ) it dies, only to not start till it warms up ( outside temp wise ) or i unhook the battery and rehook it.

everyone says to hook a reader to it, but when it dies, the check engine light stays on and the car wont start. unhook the battery, lights off and car starts.

any thoughts ? ive been told the PCM needs the be flashed which here in my ton would be around $400

A PCM flash may be what it needs. Who told you that?
It could be a half a dozen things.

You should hook a reader to it, check engine light will be on if the engine is not running.Read the codes, and post them.

If you have a scan tool available I would look at what it thinks the coolant temperature and air temp are. Coolant temp sensors can wreak havoc if they are bad.

hey guys sorry for dissapearing

well the car is actually her mothers car, but mom is a drunk and likes to blame worlds problems on her daughter. with that said, mommy decided to blow like $200 on 2 exhaust sensors and ( shockingly ) thats not the case, car still starts up and once it reaches 1000 rpm after the hi-rev start, it dies until the sun comes out and the air temp warms up ( and im in the desert )

ill see if i can have it scanned. i noticed the check engine light was on when i shut the motor off, like mentioned above, it did turn off once i removed the key from it. so would the code pick something up if i had it scanned at oriley ? its not on while driving
