200r or 700r
I have a 89 caprice with 26 inch rims the car got a 2004r in and I have tore it out....I wanna know if I should get it rebuilt built up to hold 600 hp or should I go wit a stock 700r

Neither one of those trannys will hold up to that kind of power without extensive modifications to the internals. Especially a stock 700R4, they were only rated to about 350 HP.

I'm partial to the 200R4, I have two built to hold plenty... You didn't state your location, but there are several premier builders in the US that will out-build anything you can get from Extreme, Raptor, Gearstar, B&M, TCI, etc. Either way, plan on paying $2500+ for it.
