No. Placement into the case is different than a t-350 , will not fit.

200r4 swap for a turbo 350

ok the dipstick is a no go but the transmission should change out with no probblem? the 200r4 is shot so a buddy of mine has a turbo 350 that i can put in . was just wondering if the length of the tailshaft is the same and if the mounts are different

I swaped a 85 elcamino 200r4 into a 81 vette with th350c. The rear trans mount is further back on the 200r4 so cross member will need modified. The cooling lines are in a slightly different location but bending will fix. I have a cable floor shift so the bracket that bolts to the pan needed modified. Drive shaft and yoke where ok, no mods. The dipsticks would not interchange

My future plans are to swap the other way , to a 2004r OD auto. What would need changing on a 305 / th350c 85 c10 column auto ? Besides the engine.

The 2004r is suppose to get more power to the wheels than a 700r4. How ?

I personally think you are making a mistake. By not repairing/rebuilding the 200 you THINK you are saving money. You are wrong.

That 3 speed will eat you alive on gas. Your car probably has 3.73's in the rear diff from the factory. Have you considered how HIGH you are going to be spinning the motor trying to maintain 70MPH? I promise you, if you swap in that 3 speed, you will REGRET doing it, and will wish you had simply fixed up the 2004R instead. Think about 3,000 RPM's just trying to keep up with traffic.. That sound like fun?

Add up the cost of the transmission (unless it's free), whatever costs associated with reworking the cross-member, bending the cooling lines, and potentially a different mount, PLUS the added cost of fuel since you will no longer have O/D.. I bet you'll find that repairing the 200 is the most economical approach.

I would NOT do what you are doing. I would try and find someone who can help you rebuild your trans..
