250 inline to a 350?

I had an inlline 6 in my 71 chevelle, put together a rathher decent 350 and went to swao and the frame and motor mounts dont match. i got the motor alll ready to go but the frame mounts dont match the 350 mounts for the chevelle i Bought T utozone or am I just doing something wrong? THe seem to be like 2 inches towars the front of the car than they should be

IIRC there are different bolt on motor mount pads in the early Chevelle's. Get a set from a local wrecking yard, for your conversion.

Please do all of us a favor, and use the 'spell check' and 'preview' buttons, to correct any spelling or wording issues before you hit the 'submit' button. It just makes it easier to read, and understand for us.

I believe '68-'72 Chevelle V-8's used the same engine mount frame brackets. Restoration supply places sell them, but if you can find some in a wrecking yard they'd probably be cheaper, plus you could see exactly how they bolt to the frame. Left and right may not be the same, so mark them just in case.

If your mounts are just a plain metal/rubber sandwich, with no safety interlock, either get interlock mounts or use some means of keeping the engine from lifting on the driver's side when you give it gas. The plain mount can separate, and if it does, giving it gas, especially on a left turn, can cause the throttle to open unexpectedly.
