Post 267 Heads

I am considering using a set of 267 heads on my 283, for the sake of having the accesory bolt holes on them. My dad has a whole engine with all of the brackets, starter, flywheel , ect. I thought the little 267 heads might flow about like a stock, 283 head, and yield similar compression ratio. I can buy the entire, fresh 267 for fifty bucks. Otherwise, I'll be stuck trying to hunt down pulleys and old style brackets for the old power-pack heads. What do you guys think? Could I do a little port work on the 267s and get em to run as good as the old power-paks?
