27 T body is this a good deal?

I was driving across town today and saw this 1927 Model T body and ford flathead engine for sale. The price was $500 obo. What is something like this worth? The body is fair but does need some patch panels. There are no spark plugs in the engine so I would guess it is frozen up. I don't really need another project right now but if it is a good deal I might pick it up.

Buy it! If nothing else you could put it up on e-bay and quadruple your money.

I've been trying to get a hold of the guy since I saw it. I finally got him today and he said it was sold right after he put it out and he never took the for sale sign off it. I'm kinda mad, I was starting to picture myself in it. Plus the three days I wasted trying to get a hold of him.

That is bad.

The first 56 F-100 I ever tried to buy was the same way. I saw the for sale sign, had the cash in hand, knocked on the door, and was told it sold a few days ago.

Why not simply take the sign off?

That's too bad. Man that would have been a steal. Breaks my heart that I wasn't there too.

I used to haul pipe out of Freedom Plastics there in Janesville. Me and my flatbed Peterbilt. Nice town.
