Unless something was dropped on it it should be OK. We used to hang cranks using fan belts, had a hired hand who unbeknownst to us took them all down and laid them on the floor while doing repair on a window. It wasn't caught for several weeks, but the cranks were fine. These were all SJ steel cranks, LJ cranks hadn't come out yet. But checking ANY crank for straightness and cracks should be the normal routine anyway.
