Hard to say what the hp and torque would be, but in 1957, the hot rod 283 motor from the factory made 270 hp with 2-4 bbls and 283 hp with Rochester fuel injection. A wild shot in the dark concerning what it's worth might be in the range of $750. You'll just have to wait for the right buyer to show up.

+1. You can get rid of it for probably as much as any other "desirable" sbc, you just have to sit on it for a while.
