29 Auburn Touring Phaeton current project

This is for a local collector the car has been in the St Louis Auto Museum for quite a while and has an I don't know how old "restoration". It looks good in photos but the paintjob was coming apart at the metal. I'm taking all the panels back to metal, epoxying and doing what bodywork needs done, 2K primer, block, seal and the paint black. This car is remarkably straight and has its original drivetrain. I'm bad about not taking progress pics so the next batch will be who knows when. My son is working on it during the day whilst I'm at work.

It drives great, even on a 25 degree day with no top or windscreen for 5 miles.

You can really see the color difference on the driver side.

Chances are the guy got the paint to paint the car and ran out before the doors were painted then got more paint for the doors.

That's more than likely it. I'm just glad I was chosen to restore the car. Your tips and those of several others on here have really helped me improve my work.
