Ive been running 292s for many years its one of my favorite cams its from around 3000 rpm up is excellent! But below that you may not be happy, I recommend a 4000 stall convertor and hefty gears I run 4.56s it is excellent for a low tunnel ram intake Like the Wyand and 2 650s to 750s on a small block with 10-1 comp and 110 octane fuel! If your a sound type guy it has a very lumpy idle at street idle rpms. This cam I wouldn't recommend for a street driven grocery getter but for a weekend warrior and part time drag car its a great cam! I set my lifters (anti pump up at +.002 lash).

Have fun! Jester
