maybe I'm just imagining this but every time I recomend a cam the price for that cam jumps on Summit's site, within a few weeks. The lunati 401A3LUN would run very nice in this combo.
( you can get it thru Bullet cams too.
The Crane F278-2 is very similar too, on a 114LSA. Another good one for this car.
Another good choice is the comp xs274s-10 if you want a street solid cam.
The Lunati 60141 274 solid Voodoo is another.
All these should work well with the ported vortecs, rpm manifold and shorty headers 3000 stall and 3.73's.

On this car with the shorty headers I would use a flowmaster Y250350 Y pipe to join the two headers , just rear of the transmission, under the car and run a 3.5" main pipe back over the axle with a 3 1/2" in--- out magnaflow muffler mounted behind the rear axle. This 2.5" Y'd to a big 3.5" exhaust will fit the car and is as good as or better than a dual exhaust on this car.
Don;t bother with dual ex on this car.
All cams listed are a better choice than the 292H, for what you specificly got and what you are doing.
