yes but shouldnt do that shifts will be very hard and if u use a stock band it will break the anchor on it. and if it a high hp car it can do planetary damage
i use a th 350 2-3 accumlator spring or a sonnax enhanced spring it works great now on the 3-4 i use washers and bring the piston to the beveled part of the case its ok to do away with the 3-4 because there less shock on that shift but my recomendation is to get a shift kit for it there less than 50.00
ok thats a good kit with the vette servo it will shift good couple things i do difrent from that kit is spacers in the 4th acc like i mentioned in the last post also on the line bias valve i remove the spring and make a spacer from a piece of metal so the valve is flush with the retaining pin
get a sonnax .500 pressure regulator valve and reverse boost valve
