The seal is in the bore where the bushing sits.

It had to be removed to show the bushing.

If there was no seal fluid would puke out faster than could be poured in.

Metal clad with rubber area. Rides on the convertor hub.

. The part that was unbolted has the seal/O-ring in it... the rubber piece you pictured with chunks missing out of it...the 'cardboard' is the gasket...

The shaft seal was fine.We ordered the oil pump housing seal& o ring as both were visible torn & a shaft seal all should be here tomorrow as the 1st place that said they ordered it never actually did.Soon as it gets here were putting it all back together.

No the input shaft seal.like the one in the pic with the micromater.The bushing /that bronze piece I was told is fine.I have a customer who's truck I'm painting that's gonna finish the job for me.

I got ya but the parts store calls it a input shaft seal,I got a charger,49 plymouth,77 c10&a grand national all got dropped off this weekend so Im too busy 2 mess with it Im gonns have my buddy replace all seals & gaskets today hopefully that fixes it as I.dont wanna pay 4 a rebuild for just a leak
