2nd update on Gas Monkey Garage scandal

Another update on the Gas Monkey Garage scandal.

For those of you who have not been kept up to date, please read this discussion thoroughly: Gas Monkey Garage scandal. Please take the time to read the entire discussion.

Furthermore, please take the time to read this discussion: In addition to Gas Monkey thread.

----
Anyway, I just got off the phone with the public relations department at Discovery Channel. They have been made aware of this situation, and the fact that SEMA has expressed their lack of desire in associating with Gas Monkey Garage (discussed in this thread: communication from SEMA public relations). I expect that they will be communicating with SEMA's public relations department about this situation.

Also, I've updated our Monkeyboys Media Center with 3 new pages:

1. We Are Proud

2. Why Are We Doing This?

And, this crucial page:

3. Search Engine Results

The final page, "Search Engine Results", describes parodies on the internet, and demonstrates how they are perfectly legal, and 100% American. You'll note that George Bush is one of the most commonly-parodied people on the planet. Michael Moore seems to be a close second, with Jimmy Carter bringing up the rear.

Enjoy .

Thanks Jon. This provides a handy place to point when someone asks what's it all about.

No problem. And, don't worry, I'm documenting ALL OF THIS. Every time I grab a screenshot, save an HTML page, make a parody, etc., it goes in my special "Monkeyboys" folder on my laptop. I also wrote a small script to synchronize my Monkeyboys folder with similar copies on our servers in Texas, San Francisco, and Switzerland. I tied this to a one-word alias. So, to save it all around the world, I just type "monkeysync" at the command line.

Jon,

What about MTV? The link there is with MTV and Bullrun 2006. It seems to me that Gas Monkey Garage and the crew from MTV's Jacka__ would be like peas in a pod.

Get Off the Street!

Thanks Dan, I'll look into it.

I was thinking first Coker Tire, then SEMA, then Discovery Channel.

The first two are already taken care of .

Good one poncho .

At least I was smart enough to say "laptop", instead of "lap".

Please. I'm trying to eat.

Jon's been spreading the credit around pretty liberally, but we all know who's been doing the heavy lifting. (Boy, is my back sore! j/k). Maybe all these documentary web pages he's creating will make the next image manufacturer think twice.

For those who get irritated at the "exposure" GMG posted those pics in the first place..All that was done here was to "show the world" what those guys are about...

Dod a search on the discovery channel website and found no reference to GMG at all..

Now that would be strange, kind of a lap dance from the monkeys in thongs?
