Hi, I am working on a 1993 taurus 3.0......it sometimes has spark but will die while driving because ignition spark quits...........what all can cause this.......I know there is an ignition module on the side of the distributor, and of course the ignition coil......the haynes(****) book says if the sensor inside of the dristributor is bad you have to replace the whole distributor???.......................should I ohm the coil and just shot gun the module assuming the coils resistance checks out?......there doesnt seem to be a whole lot that can stop spark.........I did try spark by touching the coils secondary terminal with a screwdriver to 1/4 inch of ground and no spark..............earlier while rewiring the grounds of the car I tried this to see if I had spark and i did........so something must be half assed working when it wants too
