3+3 GM Pick ups why the 3+3 what does it mean

I have always wondered why the 4 door Chevy & G M C trucks had a "3 + 3" emblem on them

What does it mean?

I guess it's just another name. Instead of calling them a crew cab they called them 3+3s, I don't know. Kind of like how Ford calls their extended cab trucks Super Cabs...

These trucks were also available with out the back seat.

They were called Bonus Cab trucks--(more room for crap that should really be tossed in the back)

That is what Ive always needed ... more room for crap!

I have been pondering a way to slide forward & drop the back of the front seat to make a sleeping area if I go on a long haul or run away from home

I think I'd rather have the high back buckets because of the head rest thing. I worry about whiplash...again

I'll find the right one sooner or later in the bone yards

thanks for the response I "Googled" it but got Nada.

No Rob, your 'Burb is a SUV!

Hhahahahaha
I know how much you like it when someone calls it that.

3+3 is the hardest math problem that most of the guys riding in the back seat of those trucks can solve. GM put that 3+3 on the truck in honor of their great achievement.

Why don't you take out the back seat and put a fold down cot mounted to tha back panel. That way you can haul your chains and crowbars and alligator catching gear in the back 3, and then fold the seat down to take your multiple naps..

I should mention here that I am glad that you have "I'm not prejudice, I hate everyone equally" as you signature...
It brings back many good memories from my ancestral homeland in Brooklyn

Kisses, Mikey

At least they are being honest, it really will fit six adults. Unlike most "2+2" cars which should be "2+2".
