So ive found a rearend that i'm wanting to get for me truck. 1975 scottsdale 10. So from what i understand tahts a half ton truck. It has a 12 bolt rear end with five bolt axles. I'm wondering if this rearend ive found from a 1973 3/4 ton will bolt in. Also doesnt it have six bolt axles? can i swap mine out or are the axles different? thanks for the help guys

Hi
3/4 ton trucks came with 3 axles 14 bolt 8 lug full floater, 14 bolt 8 lug semi floater light 3/4 and 14bolt 6lug heavy half ton , they will all bolt on may have to move spring perches depending on year they came off of, I do not think your 5 lug axle shafts will inter change.

axles

No way will the axles interchange only 5 and 6 bolt will interchange 5 is 2wd and 6 is 4wd 1/2 tons. 3/4 ton won't with 1/2 tons.
