I have a 3.8L(FORD) that I want to increase the horse power. I'm whiling to go into the engine (like boring out the cyclinders). Is there a book out there that can help me with my project.
There has been very little speed equipment released by either FORD or aftermarket for this engine series, other than the blown Super Coupe. It is a shame as the engine is lighter than the 2.3L and has performance potential.
There is not even a 4V intake offered so it would be best to stay with factory FI and modify from there (head work-same rocker ratio as 351C-EEC-IV-headers-cam-etc).
FoMoCo has always had strange marketing ideas. With GM, you could always buy off the showroom floor what your insurance company would allow you to have. Ford was either special order (and you were never on their wish list) or had to build it from over the counter parts.
