3.9l V6

I own a 1996 Dodge Dakota Club Cab with a 3.9L V6 w/5 speed. I want to put some high performance in that 3.9L. I don't want to be like everyone else and put in a V8. But I'm finding that the 3.9L V6 high performance parts are hard to find. I need some help.

KRC Performance has some stuff listed - cams, valvetrain, pcms, supercharger kits. Probably best to give them a call to see what actually fits.

Hughes Engines lists some stuff as well.

Good luck.

I also have a 98 Dodge Dakota with the 3.9L V6 Magnum and in the process of completely overhauling the motor. I've been looking online for oversized cams around the 280 duration but they are very hard to come by. As turbo suggested Hughes has quite a few cams listed but I have also seen alot of poor reviews about their products. I've also been trying to find better cylinder heads for it but again its like a needle in a hay stack. I will keep you up to date on what i find and where you can find it as well.

My present beater/shop truck is a 3.9 96 Dakota.

All the engine mods you can do cams, internal mods. Still are controlled by the computer!.

Have a new ECM chip burned by a pro and the thing will wake up. Plus get better gas milage..
