Question 3 liter Ford V-6 engine

I have a ford tauris with transverse mounted V-6 engine. Hope to be able to change to fore & aft configeration and put in 62 Austin Healy roadster. Is there a transmission that will bolt up to it for this installation? If not I guess I'll scrap the v-6 idea until something else comes along for a donar engine. Thanks

Check out Kennedy Engineering. They make bolt-up kits for most engines to transaxles and a few transmissions. Even if they don't have have a kit, I know they'd have the bolt patterns for the SHO and you could probably get them to make you a plate.

Also, check out grannysspeedshop.com. Then go to the engineswaps.com section. And go to "listing by engine." Scroll down to sho. They have a cobra with a sho and a link to a guy that put SHO in a tr-7. May give you some ideas/help. It seemed like it took a little effort.

And britishv8.org. They too have a conversion secton called little cars with big engines. Don't recall if have any SHO's though(they do have more that V8's)

REMEMBER, THESE ARE ACTUALLY 300 HP ENGINES (if you get a decent exhaust and slightly more aggressive cam) Rumor is Ford de-tuned them because otherwise their sedan they would have beaten the mustang gt. Believable considering when the SHO's cam out they ran o-60 in 6.6 and Mustangs gt of the same year were less than a half-second faster.

GOOD LUCK
