3 Piece hood Fitted

Well, with lots or procrastination, then time and then lots of patience I finally fitted the 3 piece hood. Many said that this would be "fun" to get done. It was a challenge, however, things worked out well.

Still learning and enjoying this immensely.

That looks like a better fit than the first time I tried to do my 4 piece hood on my 34. Did you have to trim it any? Looks like your rod is coming along nicely Dutch.

Got my wheels and tires in a few weeks ago for mine, also the Tea's seat will be here shortly .

Thanks S10Fan, How ya doing on the black side of the river?

Vince, I had to fit and grind down portions of the rear top due to excess. I took off some material and ground the rest to keep as much as an even line down the rear side pieces. I also had to apply a little bend in the side panels to concur with the car body. On the front of the hood, I notched it to fit like a 34 and had to grind down a little on the hoods corners to fit the concur of the grille.

I welded 2 supports to the lower insides of the side pieces that attach to pins inserted through the fenders and used a Carolina custom 3-pc hood hinge kit.
