30 coupe metal

Just to throw this out and see what you guy's think . My car has a grafted on rear section [ rear end accident] with a vertical weld seam across the body behind the rear window. thru out the seam there are small pin holes that scares the heck out of me. Is it possible to have someone use lead to build up that area? What other options do I have to build that area up. should I just try to weld up all the holes? Pop's

Lead won't work on that problem...well, not for long

Leaded surfaces need to be 100% spotless so the acid & tinning can be PERFECT. It rarely ever is, unless you are doing dent repairs on an uncut area. It will blister over time due to trapped acid in the nooks. Heck, auto companies had the same problems on NEW cars in the 60s...especially Mopars...like mine

I'd weld, but you still need to clean it good first, as well as after.

The pro body guys here can give you tips on primers, etc.

I agree. Carefully grind and weld small sections at a time.Allow ample time for cooling to minimize warpage and redo every bad spot. You will be glad you took the extra time to make it right instead of worrying after paint.I am building a 31 A coupe. How about starting a project journal so we can see yours?

I think I would weld it too. I have had many similar problems on my Plymouth. I've come to the conclusion if I have welding wire I can fix it.
