30 coupe metal
help! I just discovered in taking off the moulding around the front of the firewall, rot almost all the way up the side of the cowl just under the molding. Its so bad you can see thru it. So , Im wondering if the roadster side cowl from brookville might work. I know I will have to use it like a cowl repair and cut it but does anyone know if it is the same width and shape as the coupe. they have a complete side cowl panel that I will fork the doe over for if it might work. Pops.

re: 30 coupe metal
The 2 bodies use the same hood. So, that would mean some of the metal would be the right dimentions....depending on how wide of a strip you cut, back from the front of the cowl side.
The coupes flare out a lot to make more room inside. I wonder if you can ask around out there locally, there was & are lots of old cut-down Model A's...and one from the desert southwest would be in good shape...cowl, that is. Some get parted out, check ebay too. I'd bet a sedan would work also. |
