Wow! Im finally gettin back to work on my coupe. I have a 30 ford coupe that I put on a 32 So-Cal pinched nose frame and I had a gap under the door which was giving me fits. It was four feet long witha 1/2" gap in the middle and taporing down to an eighth on both sides. I used a piece of red wood and cut it to lenght and shapped it to the rail. I thought I was going to have to trim it down on both ends but when I set it under the body it naturally tucks in where its supposed to. It catches one of my body hold downs but I will have to screw the wood down to the frame on the ends so it won't come out. I've seen other rods with the wood filler so I assume thats the plan. I'll try to post some pics in my journal . Pops.
