Just wanted to share the photo I took on the way to work today. I was pretty excited when I got down to the last few miles. This is on my 2002 Chevrolet Impala 3.8 Liter V6.

Never done anything major to the car either, just normal maintenance. Wheel bearing, axle shaft, thermostat, etc. I've always been happy with the car, don't even have an urge to buy a new one.

I thought that you won some money! :D
A friend just traded in his Chevy pickup with 300,000+ miles. I was a little disappointed since I thought he would keep it forever. :( Of course it had went though several engines and transmissions as well as various other parts. I enjoyed the homemade door handles that were just a couple of scraps welded together.

300,000 was always my goal, I won't trade it in, now I'm just curious of how many more it will go!

against all odds 11-20-2012 03:23 PM

Can i ask about your commuting ritual?

crussell85 11-20-2012 08:03 PM

Yes, the majority of the miles are highway miles, I work for a traveling construction company. I still think its an impressive amount of miles though

The 3.8L was/is a hell of an engine. Wonder what my odds are to ever see 300K on my 2010 Impala w/the 3.9L V6...:pain:
