Question 302 ford

got an 84 302 h.o. originally a throttle body. I replaced t.b. and intake with an Edlebrock intake and carb. I replaced the dist. with a points dist. converted to Pertronix electronic, motor is low milage with 145 to 150 psi of compression. I drove this motor for several miles before teardown and it ran fine. now it does not fire cyls 3-4-5-7. Any thoughts?

wow, thats a first for me.i would guess its the distributer or in that area. make sure of constant feed to dist & coil. is the pertronix unit ok? is the dist cap cracked, broken, etc? strange things do happen, how about a bad wire to the coil, solenoid, etc? you have my mind wondering now,let me know what you find, thanks. good luck. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

FastFord, thanks. your post on June 6 to Shagonwagonvic solved my problem. I did not know that 302 HO's firing order is different than earlier 302's. Thanks again, Joe
