302 valve clearance

Im looking at installing an aftermarket camshaft in my truck, its a 1979 Ford 302,thats been rebuilt by Ford (been in storage for LONG time) i added a summit 600cfm 4bbl,pertronix ignitor and shorty headers..aside from that, the motor is bone stock.I have installed a camshaft into a ford 289 years ago,the duration was around 255-260.i dont remember much about the cam specifics, but it wasnt much bigger than stock..this time i want to add a duration of 260-270 but im not sure if thats a good idea, more lift also worries, a rough idea of cam choices that give good power between 1500-2000rpm,And i would like to keep the engine together meaning i dont want to remove the heads and have threaded studs, guides etc...just a cam that adds more than what i had last time, but nothing so big that im putting the valves into the top of a piston.or any other serious issues
