304 slow to start after warm

Hi again, I have amc 304 and it starts right up when cold and barely cranks when hot. I've moved the dist and it doesn't make a difference. Any ideas ?

Sounds like the starter is just getting old being it's hot when it won't crank.
Check the cable connection at the starter and make sure it's tight. Be sure to disconnect the pos cable at the battery first.

Be sure to check the battery condition and alternator output. Slow cranking is also a sign of an alt. on the blink and the engine has been running on the battery only.
