my malibu 305 smokes all the time but the oil is clean and dont lose water. what could be my problem.

What color is the smoke and does it smoke at idle, WOT?

is there oil on the bottom side of your breather lid ?
if so clean out the pcv line and make sure its not clogged at carb or throttle body

Your return hole's on your head could be plugged up.Or your valve stem seals could be bad. Or both.

Hi,
Along with the other possibility's, you could have
a bad modulator allowing oil/fluid to enter the
vacuum line & then into the engine, I've only
seen this twice though, & one of them was a
corvair.

I have seen that before too.Just unplug it at the trans in you will be able to tell.

the smoke is white and when im warming it up and hit the gas its black. i know that is the carb when its black.

If the white smoke is constant, after warmup, I'd look for coolant issues, blown head gasket, cracks, something allowing coolant into the combustion chamber. Black smoke when warming? If it's only during warmup when you goose it, probably the choke setting, rich, combined with the accelerator pump shot.

been having this car since 95 and my sister drove it before i did in college same engine with no internal engine problems. might need to let somebody at a shop look at it and see whats up.

White smoke at warm up could also be condensation in the exhaust burning out.

Is it constant- after long drives, car is warmed up, etc?

That it's constant?
That after a long drive it smokes?
It smokes only when warm, or after warmed up?

all the time. not real heavy but it smokes all the time. got a smell to it also.

what KIND of smell? need SPECIFICS. is it sweet like antifreeze, rich like gas?

you might think about pulling the spark plugs to see whats going on.
