Unhappy 305 => 350 in cutlass

Any info appreciated.....

I have a 1983 Cutlass Supreme with a 305 4bbl.
How big of a job is it to convert to a small block 350 with headers?

unless you are swapping between big block and small block or carb and fuel inject it should be about the same. WIth headers you might wanna be prepared change the exhaust a bit especially if they are full length headers.

I just did a similar swap in my 84 monte carlo. It had a 3.8 v6 in it beforehand. The only problem i had was with fitting the passenger side header (had to take out the heater and a/c box). Other than that the swap went fine.

The only issue that I can think of is not realy a issue. That is use the shorty style water pump on your 350. The one off the 305 will bolt right on your 350. the 2 motors are the same size, you original motor mounts will work.

great swap have fun!
