305 350 gasket sets
new here but have a quick question,can 350 head gaskets be used ok on a mild street driven 305. Seems to be a big difference in price between 305 and 350 gasket sets and the only difference i can think of is the head gasket bore size. thanks gord

Yes, like you said the bore size is different on 350's but the rest are all interchangeable except something like centerbolt valve cover gaskets.

There will be a small loss of compression with the 350 gaskets on the 305 and there will be some unburned hydrocarbons in the area where the gaskets differ. Personally, I would use the 305 head gaskets. After all, I'm sure that GM could have saved millions of dollars by using the same gasket in both, but they didn't.

I wouldn't interchange head gaskets but the REST of the gaskets you could (intake, water pump, distributor, exhaust, etc....)
