305/350 swap....

Hey guys i have a 92 camaro Z28 with a 305 TPI in it. My motor recently went out and i am torn between swapping in a 350 or another 305. The 305 has decent power and i already have full exhaust, a hypertech chip, and 3.73 gears in the car. The only reason i wouldn't do the swap is beacuse of gas prices going sky high, somewhere in the 3.60 range. Any ideas would be a great help in making my decision. Also if i were to do the swap is there anything i might need to change like the rear end or the brakes? Thanks!

man your motor swap is no big deal. i did this with my 90 rs. your rear end and brakes are fine. you might want to change out your hypertech computer but im not sure. try it and see. just mark your wires good and make sure you remember where everything goes. other that that your swap aught to go off without a hitch. if you need any help look me up

If you use a 350 of similiar year, that would be easiest. Some newer and older exhaust manifolds don't interchange exactly. Check dipstick placement if using an older block, you'll have to use your manifolds so older dipsticks won't work. It's the best to use a 350 of the same year, change over all components, so you don't have any headaches.
