305 heads on a 283
i was wondering what the intake and exaust volume is on a pair of 416 305 heads. a couple of old schoolers were telling me they were the hot ticket for a mild 283. im looking for alittle over 300 horses. any ideas are welcome.

Don't have the link handy but there is an actual flow bench comparison I saw posted over at a Third Gen F-Body site that shows the 416's flow very, very close to the old 461 and 462 Double Hump heads. Good budget head for a performance 283 but then I'm an "old schooler" too.
I'm putting a set on a mild 355 for my PU, with the appropriate dish pistons to keep compression manageable of course.
