305 heads on a 350
i some 305 head in my garage and i want to put them on my 350 to raised the compression and put bigger valves in the 305 is this somthing i could do in my garage and if not what tools would i need to do this

305 high output heads are the only 305 heads worth bolting onto a 350 you dont need any special tools they bolt right on.
to put in bigger valves your better off taking it to a maching shop

You will need to go to a machine shop to get the valve pockets enlarged to install the valves.
I think the runners on the 305 heads are smaller than the 350s as well. Might need a port job. Probably cheaper to find some 350 heads with smaller chambers.

where could i find som high output head for a 305 would it be better to use 305 or 350 high output heads

you would have to check numbers but you would find them on iroc's trans ams some monte ss would have them they have 1.94 1.50 valves and larger runners.
i got a set on ebay for 30$ ported polished em and threw em on my motor runs great and makes for high compression
