305 heads on a 350 (not from the same year)

i'm going to put a set of 305 heads on my 350. i have a set of the 305 heads off of a 85 chevy 305 and my 350 is a 91 model. will these heads work or do i need heads from something newer?

If the 350 is from a truck you can't use the truck's intake on the 305 heads. Starting in 87 on the trucks the center bolt holes are a different angle.

The heads themselves will interchange, though. Is there a specific reason for the 305 heads? They might skyrocket compression and cut flow a lot.

305 heads on a 350 is a cool trick for a lowend motor. I had them on my last 350 with a mild cam in it.Would not rev past 5000rpm for anyone but it had some seriopus lowend and throttle response.
