31 Ford PU

I,m 37 and live in a rural area , Hot Rods and motor heads are scarce . Mosly hunters & beer drinkers . So I fit in fine . I've got old junk in my blood I inherited it from my dad , grandfather & great uncle . I really don't dig show cars & lean heavily to beaters & street legal fun . Not that I don't apprecieate a really sweet ride it just out of reach for me . I've got too many projects going at once to swing that kind of coin , besides if your afraid to beat the snot out of it where's the fun ? I've got diverse tastes & if its cool I try to snag it cheap . Right now I've got a 31 Ford PU , 40 Ford , 55 Willys wagon 4x4 , 62 nova , 66VW Baja bug , 67 Galaxy conv. , 3-71/72 Novas , 71 Chevy 4x4 PU , 72 Honda 350 dirt bike & a few modern invisible cars & trucks so I can keep my license ( got tired of driving around without one ) . I'm not loaded , I just can sniff out stuff in backyards & fields . One of my favorie pastimes is finding stuff in obscure forgotten places . I just found an old pipe & cable lift from the 40's or 50's in an old abandoned shop . Totally unsafe but really cool ! I'll never own a chckbook rod but thats O.K

31 Ford PU

I can't believe the lack of response to this question . This has to be the most commonly performed modification ever . I've studied the meatalworking publications , seen photos & articles out the wazoo since I was old enough to read . Somebody must have perfected this process in the last 30 years . I'm really not too crazy about trying to hammer weld . Hell I've never even seen anybody gas weld . I sure don't know how . I just don't want to ruin what I already have . So far this medium has been a total waste of time . I guess I'll just have to go old school & say f***k it & go for it .
