318 firing order

I have a 318 (tbi) in a 1988 dodge 4x4 and I asked my brother to put my headers on while I was gone away.......... (big mistake)...... When I got back from my fishing trip he had the headers on...... but he was told to remove the plugs wires and started which he did...... but when he took the plug wires off he didnt mark them so im stuck with no plugs in or wires on atm.... I know the chevy firing order because ive owned a chevy forever, but Ive never done the firing order on a dodge. What Im asking is where do I start on the cap it has a external coil so im stumped!!! please help im stuck and I dont have a haynes manual for a dodge!!!

any pictures or diagrams will be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Ed

The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.

Take #1 spark plug out and stick a friend's finger in the hole. Bump it over until your soon-to-be ex-friend hollers. Line up the timing mark with the TDC mark on the timing tab. The rotor will then be pointing to the #1 spark plug terminal on the cap.

It is in time I just needed to know where the wires went to the plugs. What I couldnt understand is, Why he wouldnt mark them.... it takes an extra maybe 5 minutes of your time... Hes not much of a gear head I just figured he wouldnt screw it up but I guess I was wrong lol ...
thanks again
